Step 1 — Create an account
Registration needs an email address and a password. Adult categories require confirming that you are over 18.
Step 2 — Set your language
DLsite’s interface can be switched to any of 15 languages. Do this before browsing: the language setting also affects which storefront and which translated editions you see.
Step 3 — Find the work
Three ways that actually work:
- Search by title — if you already know the work, search its title in the language of the edition you want.
- Search by RJ code — every work has an ID like
RJ01073400. This is the most reliable way to land on the exact product page. - Browse by genre — see the Genre Guide.
Step 4 — Check the edition before you pay
A single work may exist as a Japanese original and one or more translated editions, each with its own product page and its own RJ code. Confirm the language on the page you are about to buy.
Step 5 — Pay
This is the step that trips up most buyers outside Japan, because DLsite’s payment methods are built for the domestic market. The card brand DLsite names for credit card payment is JCB, and most other methods are Japanese services. If you do not hold a JCB card, the practical route is to buy DLsite Points first using a method available to you, then spend the points.

Step 6 — Download
After purchase the work appears in your account library. DLsite states that purchased works can be downloaded as many times as you like, with no stated limit or expiry. Games are usually Windows executables; manga and CG arrive as archives; voice works as audio files. The exception is a small number of browser-viewing-only works, marked on the product page’s supported-environment table — those cannot be downloaded at all.
If something goes wrong
Order and download problems are handled by DLsite’s own support. dojinavi is an independent guide and cannot access your account or orders.
